Some of you may already know that I have moved Jobs again, and have now settled in at HostelBookers.com as a Lead developer. Already I have a requirement for a new member of staff. We know how hard it is to get a Junior ColdFusion developer so we are happy to take anyone with an interest with Web Development and we will train them up. So the job spec is:
A Junior/Graduate web developer is now sought to join our growing team at our Holborn office. Technically you should have 6-18 months experience in any server-side language. We are offering the opportunity to cross-train over to the latest Adobe technologies (ColdFusion, Flex, AIR). Exceptional candidates looking for their first technical development role will also be considered. Knowledge of any of the following would be advantageous but not essential: MSSQL, MySQL, PHP, ASP, XHTML, Ajax. This is an opportunity to get involved in creating new and exciting applications from the ground up. You should be up for a challenge and dedicated to pushing the boundaries of current and future technologies. We are looking for someone who has the desire to work with us to create some of the most talked about applications on the web. Training will be provided on advanced ColdFusion techniques and the Fusebox framework.

NO AGENCIES PLEASE

Hi all sounds good in your job, just only fusebox is not suited in the spec, if you are going to track of flex, air, ajax then coldbox is the home for them. ++ million other handy things for any project. ohhh exciting things..[it be decorator/interceptor/... is it ?] good luck.

Fusebox is the current way we are developing the sites, in HTML, moving forward using the cool new stuff we have ways to leverage the Business logic etc, with little code rewrites. My thoughts are if we can get a developer with a the aptitude then anything is possible, coldbox does look cool, but we are too far down the current route to turn back, like I guess many others, this is the trouble with new frameworks. New projects are needed to try them out etc.
