Having seen a posting on Twitter about installing the JRun Updater, I checked all the instances I have running and thought it would be useful to have a reference to the build numbers, so that I can identify what JRun Updaters have been installed Easily.

So these are:

JRun 4 Updater 2     (build 61650)  (ships with CFMX 6.1)
JRun 4 Updater 3     (build 75991) 
JRun 4 Updater 4     (build 84683)  (ships with CFMX 7)
JRun 4 Updater 5     (build 92909)
JRun 4 Updater 6     (build 106363) 
JRun 4 Updater 7     (build 108621) 
JRun 4 CF8              (build 108673)

As you can see if you install CF8 you don't need to install JRun 4 Updater 7.

To Find the Version number of JRun run:

CF Standard / Stand Alone
C:\CFusionMX\runtime\bin> jrun -info

CF Multi Server
C:\JRun4\bin> jrun -info

This info is quite old especially now that JRun is no longer a Public Product as such, but someone may find it useful even if its for me as something to revert back to.

When time permits I will do a quick tutorial on how to install Updater 7 on CFMX 7 Stand Alone (AKA Standard) But the basics is to run the Updater and select the Install path to c:\CFusionMX\runtime and this will update the JRun Server to the latest Updater.
