A good start for the iPhone?

With iPhone out for less then 6 months it would seem that NetApplications has found that the iPhone Browser has got 0.09% share of the global browsing market. The report is here and you can see Windows XP and Vista in 1st and 2nd place followed by MacIntel and MacPCC. But the funny thing is; Windows Mobile (CE) which has been out for nearly 10 years has only 0.06%; 0.03% less then the iPhone. So the question now is do I want to replace my Windows Mobile for the iPhone well currently the answer is NO. The reason the iPhone is still using 5 year old technology using Edge. My Current Windows phone is 3G and does everything I want with SlingMedia and stuff. I think I may go with a 3rd gen iPhone, as if the 2nd gen is 3G then the 3rd gen will have the bugs ironed out. | View count: 312

You'd be surprised how often the WiFi capabilities make the edge network irrelevant.

In the UK though, WIFI access points are only really in Pubs, Restaurants and Main Train Stations. Not very helpful when your on a Moving Train :) One question though has anyone tried to us it as a Modem for a laptop? As with my Windows Mobile I can do internet sharing and thus use the 3G connection as an internet connection on my Mac Book Pro.
